What I did on my Spring Break- a dopey report or is it??

Last week was my DD spring break.

I affectionately call her the AntiChrist (the cats told me that was their favorite name for her that is acceptable to be printed without the post being deleted for profanity).

If you know me, I am not the warm,fuzzy motherly type. I am a person who is the blogging type and try to have a balance with my mothering skills (OK I have none) and my other sides of my personally.

So, my other sides said - hey blog about what you did on your DD Spring Break. They spoke, so I listened and obeyed.

Nothing really important happened on the Spring break besides me getting so angry that my I had to take extra medication.

What? You ask... Well it just took 2 things and that did it!

1. A Marine friend blogged about going to the NC Renaissance faire. He is a Renne and is trying to corrupt all the other Lance Corporals...When reading his stuff one of his comments was: "Mild amusement mixed with annoyance outside the pub. Apparently the burger/hot dog/assorted grease stand is run by a handful of Arab-americans. I don't have any issue with that, but I do have issue with having various profane insults muttered at me in Arabic when I get my cheeseburger. Ibn Sharmuta am I, asshole? Debating whether to report them to fare management or just fuck with their heads during invasion."

These are gutless wonders hiding behind a foreign language to show their hatred of the USA. A land in which they had the opportunity to make money and let's them have liberty. If that was me, at the faire I would have stomped them into the ground with my favorite battle axe. They didn't realize that their customers may have been Soldiers, Sailors, Air Force or Marines who actually understand Arabic. They should have gotten what they deserved. And that goes for any other foreigners (I'm thinking illegal Mexicans) that think they can insult the American people in a foreign language and get away with it.

2. DD and I got to have lunch with DH (whoah- lots of D;s here's Debbie,DD, DH) near his work in Bridgeview IL..

It all started out so innocently at IHOP around 79th and Harlem.

We had the usual breakfasty type meal.

As we were leaving I saw a stack of local neighborhood newspapers by the cash register. You know the kind of little newspaper that is free.

This paper was in Arabic writing. I grabbed one to take back to our neighbor. Her DD is taking Arabic classes so she can read the Koran in Arabic. (Yes, I live next store to Muslims. They are wonderful people from Bangladesh and don't go wear any Muslim abayas,headscarves or stuff. In fact they are probably more American than some of my relatives-LOL But I am watching them....LOL).

This was innocent enough...right? Really a good neighborly thing...WRONG!

When I got home, I had a chance to actually look at the paper. Some of it was in English (only the inside pages of course!).and most of it was in Arabic

I can Not read Arabic, but I CAN look at the pictures and I CAN think and Just thinking about that newspaper is Getting ME angry again. (where is that bottle of Meds???)

I Saw the Hate filled Anti-US and Israeli stuff.

I saw the angry looking guys in black with their faces covered.

I saw the article in English begging for money to help MECA (scroll to the middle of the link's article ) to help the poor, innocent (especially the children) victims in Palestine.

I saw the Kera-rap about Sami Al-Arian's Struggle for Justice. (see this article - and this one of many about this guy).

I SAW RED!!!!!

(deep blue sea, deep blue sea, calm, calm thoughts now....OMMMMMMM, OMMMMM)

Now, that's better.

I can see the keyboard to type the rest now.

I know that writing hate stuff and anti American stuff is legal.

And this is a free country to voice and print your wonderful opinions.

And I know that Bridgeview IL is a major area to watch for radical Islamic types ( just read the book "Terrorist Hunter" or do a little Googling about Bridgeview IL-radical Islam).

So Why Was I Upset????
